A little spring bronchitis

Of course its Brody I'm talking about. Now on another antibiotic in addition to his long term one... We wouldn't even have known but they took labs of fluid in his lungs when he was in the OR last week.

Amazing news!!

Best news of Brody's little life... His inflammation has reacted to the azythromyacin therapy and he is eligible for laryngotracheal reconstruction to begin the process of getting his trach out! We have a looong way to go still but today is something to celebrate... Tomorrow we plan.
He will have rib cartilage harvested and grafted to bridge the gaps of ressected diseased tissue in his trachea. He will have a two stage meaning he will come out of the 5 hour surgery with his trach still in place and once fully healed in 2-3 months and after passing a barrage of other tests they would be able to remove it.
All of our hard work and dreams for Brody came to fruition today.
If you thought we were strict with contact with our kids before... We are stepping our isolation up even more to keep him healthy enough to have this life changing surgery and heal properly after.
So proud of him and everyone who has helped us get to this point.
